License Agreement
Version 1.0 · Last updated Oct 16, 2026
This License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you (the "Licensee") and Qwiks Co. ("Qwiks Co", "we") and applies to every Product licensed through https://shop.qwiks.co. By installing, activating or using a Product you accept this Agreement.
1. License grant
When you purchase a plan, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Product on the number of sites, domains or installations ("Activations") stated on your plan, for the license term stated on your plan (lifetime, fixed-term, or for as long as your subscription is active).
Development, staging and local copies of a site you have licensed (for example localhost, *.test, staging. sub-domains) do not use an Activation.
2. License key and activation
Each license comes with a key. The Product may contact our license server to activate, validate and check for updates. When it does, it sends the license key, the site address or machine identifier, the Product and platform versions, the site name and the server IP address. We use this only to verify your license, deliver updates and prevent abuse, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may move a license to another site at any time by deactivating it from the Product or from My account → Licenses.
3. WordPress plugins and themes
WordPress is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Where a Product is a WordPress plugin or theme, its PHP code is licensed to you under the GNU GPL version 2 or later. Unless stated otherwise in the Product, images, artwork, CSS, JavaScript and documentation are licensed to you under this Agreement and remain the property of Qwiks Co.. Your purchase entitles you to automatic updates, support and any premium services for the number of Activations and the period on your plan; those services are provided only to valid, active license keys.
4. Web applications and other software
For web applications and non-WordPress software, the Product (including source code) is licensed, not sold. You may install it on the number of servers or domains on your plan, for your own business or for one end client per Activation, and modify it for that purpose. You may not offer the Product itself as a hosted service to third parties (SaaS) unless your plan expressly allows it.
5. Restrictions
Except where clause 3 (GPL) gives you broader rights, you may not:
- sell, sublicense, rent, share or redistribute the Product or your license key;
- remove, bypass or disable license checks, or tamper with license data;
- remove copyright or proprietary notices;
- use the Product in breach of law or our Terms of Sale.
6. Updates and support
Updates and support are available during the period stated on your plan. Updates may add, change or remove features. Always back up your site and test updates before applying them to a live site.
7. Expiry and cancellation
When a subscription is cancelled or a fixed-term license expires, updates and support stop and features that require an active license may stop working until you renew. Lifetime licenses continue to work; only updates and support end when their period ends.
8. Custom and private builds
Software built or adapted for a specific customer is licensed under this Agreement unless a separate signed agreement transfers ownership or grants other rights. Ownership of custom work transfers only after full payment and only if that agreement says so.
9. Termination
We may terminate or revoke a license that is used in breach of this Agreement, obtained by fraud, or subject to a chargeback or refund. On termination you must stop using the Product, except for any rights you keep under the GPL.
10. Warranty and liability
The Product is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Sale.
11. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
